3D Vocal Tract Rig

Developed as part of a research project about speech therapy. The purpose of this rig is to create 3D animations of how the human vocal tract creates different phonemes, chiefly pulmonic sounds. More information on the research can be found at http://www.seeingspeech.ac.uk/

This was developed during my summer internship at Edinburgh Napier University, working with Dr. Gregory Leplatre on a research project about speech therapy. the goal of this was to create a 3D rig in Maya that could be used to demonstrate how the vocal tract creates different sounds from the International Phonetic Alphabet.
